Through curriculum-based materials, the Billy Bishop Home and Museum School Program will assist schools in a concrete, practical context through a museum experience, and learning activities, to develop students’ skills, strategies, and habits of mind required for effective inquiry and communication. AdmissionOur reasonable admission cost is: $3.00 per student (Minimum charge $30.00), with one adult per 6 students admitted free. We ask that a non-refundable deposit of $25 be paid upon booking with full payment is due 2 weeks before the event. If a class cancels up to 2 weeks before the event and has already paid, all but $25 will be refunded. This policy applies to both the in-classroom programs and the programs in the museum, as well as tours and non-education program bookings. Download
MoreWhy not consider a day outing and visit both of our museums and nearby Tom Thomson Art Gallery. This would be a cost saving idea for schools outside our local area and are travelling by bus.

Touring our museum is an educational experience for people of any age. Billy Bishop is recognized as a war hero locally, nationally and internationally. His life prior, during and after his military service is experienced as visitor’s tour his childhood home. Visitors will be made aware of the courage and sacrifices made by Bishop and other local and national men and women who served in the wars. The museum experience will help participants realize the continued freedom and democracy we enjoy today is because of these veterans’ contributions.
