Soaring Aspirations

The Life and Career of Billy Bishop.

This exhibit, which is situated in Bishops childhood bedroom, explores his life and career beginning from his entrance into the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. With photographs and artifacts, the exhibit illustrates his participation in the World Wars, both his flying prowess during the First, and his recruitment and motivation of military personnel during the Second. Bishop's life continued on as quite an adventure, as he traveled throughout the world, and lived in a variety of countries. He wrote two books in his life and even had a speaking tour in 1919 to promote his first book.

While his military career was always in the forefront of his life, he worked in a variety of jobs, and allowed time to raise a wonderful family.

With new artifacts and photographs, this exhibit will be a great experience for people of all ages.
